BlackBerry remains Canada’s most popular smartphone, for now
Canadians are still buying BlackBerrys more than any other smartphone, in stark contrast to the mobile whims of their southern neighbours.
Research In Motion Ltd. held 35.8% of the Canadian smartphone market in September, according to new data from market research firm comScore Inc., giving the Waterloo, Ont.-based BlackBerry maker the top spot in its home market. RIM shares surge after upgraded smartphones revealed
Research In Motion Ltd. got a boost Tuesday on a rare analyst upgrade and after the BlackBerry maker unveiled a pair of upgraded handsets.
The shares rose 5 per cent to close at $19.54 in Toronto after RIM launched the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and the BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphones.
RIM also said its cloud-based BBM Music service is being rolled out in the U.K. after being launched in the U.S., Canada and Australia early this month… Read More

RIM launches BlackBerry Business Cloud service for Office 365
For those using a BlackBerry smartphone to access Microsoft Corp.’s Office 365 software, Research In Motion Ltd. just made the process a little easier.
On Tuesday, the Waterloo, Ont.-based company introduced a free cloud-based service for Office 365 users in more than 30 countries. Remotely accessible via RIM-controlled servers, the offering gives users secure access to Microsoft Exchange Online data on their BlackBerry smartphones and allows administrators to manage their company’s mobile network from anywhere with an Internet connection… Read More

RIM in tight with Washington
